I am going to be busy with the upcoming holidays so I am not going to be posting much in this blog for the next couple of weeks. (This is due to Christmas and my 21st B-day being right around the corner) However, I will be talking about movies I have recently seen along with books, games, and various television shows I am currently watching. Until then enjoy Daft Punk's latest music for their hit single Derezzed!

And yet again I must be a sleep! AVAST! Busy times and a bright future ahead!
First I like to apologize for posting this late since I thought it was due on the stereotypical Friday due date. There is always something to remind me to get my act in gear may it be reading things carefully or just paying attention. I feel like such a dimwit at times when I notice things like this. Our teacher’s post about the final blog entries made me go, “what?”
To start things off I have to say that for a first experience for an online course this wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. This online English course was actually pretty fun when all is said and done. If I didn’t take this course I wouldn’t have made this awesome blog that I will be converting to a information blog in concerns for all kinds of mass media entertainment that I am in too. I enjoyed doing new things like doing group projects online in a group in concerns for an assigned project.
I can’t not begin to thank you all who have been a part of the various different team groups for peer drafting my papers considering they helped out a lot in the end. I am pleased to say that I feel like my writing has improved since I joined this class. Since this class wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be I guess I just might take another future online course, maybe I will see some of you there and maybe I won’t. I am hope that I will have a similar experience as I had for this course for my other future online courses. For all of those majoring in English and going for their AA degree like I am I wish you all the best of luck and easiest of times for your future endeavors. There will be challenges ahead and I imagine even harder papers to write but, with a little patience and good study habits I believe we will all come up on top in the end. This will be my final entry in concerns for this English course in my blog so I would like to finally say peace to you all and hang loose.
P.S. One last thing I like to bid you all MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Time to fight a good fight. Prepare yourselves for the end is near!
What has this research paper taught me besides knowledge with Iranian culture? Well to start things off it taught me to become more organized in my thought process and just general writing. I am kind of a procrastinator and this project has been smacking my own ass and getting me into better shape to the point where I am not wasting time. Considering I am also writing another research paper, this other one being ten pages, I have been really tight for time trying to balance these two papers out. In general I guess one could say that this is really testing my time management skills. The other things it is teaching me is how to rely on other people such as the people who work at AVC, the people in my online course team, and family as well at times for tips. I am hoping that everything will come out for the better by the time next week has come and gone.
I am a bit worried though that I may not get everything done on time, but I understand that this is something that I must sacrifice for in order to get a good grade in the class in general. I hope that our teacher understands how much effort and time we are all putting into this research paper. I am pretty sure I am just over thinking things like I normally due when I get pressed for time. As long as I keep focused at the task at hand I do believe I wouldn’t have any trouble at all.
I would like to thank all those who have sent me peer draft reviews and that their help and input is greatly appreciated. I understand that there have been some errors going on in our group file sharing section and that what I have posted was deleted so I will be re-posting them and sending emails out to everyone in our group with copies of the peer drafts that I typed to them either tonight or tomorrow morning. Once again thank you for your shared input and I wish you all good luck in this final week for everything else that is coming up in terms of finals not just for this class but for all your other classes you guys may be taking as well.

Busy.. Just simply busy.....
Where to start? Last week was kind of hectic for me since I had to go down to San Diego to celebrate my uncle’s sixtieth birthday and then drive back home immediately the day after. I haven’t had really any time to start on this research paper until this week. I choose to do the Great Gatsby topic since I just recently wrote a paper for it for one of my other English courses, which now I have to type out a revision as well. The revisions are also another thing holding me back from starting this paper mainly for the fact that I have three papers to revise which are the second essay for this class, a different Great Gatsby paper, and the final draft of the Doublespeak and bullshit paper. I am just glad I have read Great Gatsby so many times already; this allows me to not have to reread it again and just focus on writing the paper and gather sources. I will be getting the books need for my sources today after my American Literature class.
I am probably going to get the majority of my papers done before Friday, including this research project. I don’t imagine I will have any real trouble finishing this since it is after all the first draft and it will not be perfect anyway. The only thing that I will probably have trouble with is my biggest fault which is my procrastination. I am afraid that I might forget something or dwindle my time away with out paying to much attention to what really needs to be down. If all else fails I am going to be pulling all nighters, I am used to this so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem for me to do. If I am have any further problems I will probably try to make arrangements to have a meeting with our teacher since she seems pretty understandable.
The one thing I am not looking forward to though is doing peer draft reviews. Sine each of these first drafts we are all doing are suppose to be five pages in length that means there is going to be a lot to review for everyone, this doesn’t help since it seems like I am in an even bigger group now than I was previously. Anyway, I look forward to reading other people’s papers regardless since I don’t know the majority of the people in my group now.
Right now I am praying that I am able to cover everything down to the letter in this research project, even though this is only the first draft I am still nervous a bit. I hope that I can rely on my new group to help me with their edits in their peer draft reviews on my paper and I hope I can offer the same kind of services in return.

Lolz! I r 1337! jk No, really I am joking...
Okay first off I apologize for this entry being so late and there is a good reason behind it being late. I know excuses are just poor, but when you are preparing to transfer and graduate while going to visit relatives due to one of your uncles turning sixty things can get really hectic. On with the show as they say in show business. When I am communicating online through emails, forum posts, comments, or what ever form of text I normally try to be as literate as possible. I don’t normally shorten words by using acronyms or something like brb, gtg, lol, or lmao. I don’t use smilies unless I am being flirtatious or just being goofy with someone I know well.
My style is normally to the point since I want to get answers as fast as possible to my questions and I figure it would be safer if I was just straight to the point with my questions. My answers to other people’s questions can range from being short to long and detailed depending on the situation at hand. If I want people to get the full grasp of something I would try to be as detailed as possible with my answers to their questions. If I am irritated at a person online I may give a negative long detailed answer as well to prove how wrong or just how foolish their previous response was.
On forums I tend to be very silent and just lurk, when a user reads other post on the said thread of the forum to get a grasp of the situation that is being discussed. If I feel like I understand the subject that is being discussed I may or may not share my input on the topic. I tend to hang out website forums that are very deep in my own hobbies, so I tend to run into people online who know more about my hobbies than even I do which is why I tend to be silent at times more than talkative less I get trolled/flamed, insulted or teased, for saying something that may be slightly off or wrong. Listening, in this case reading, instead of talking can sometimes be the better of the two options so you don’t sound foolish or just plain out wrong when you do decide to share your input on a situation or topic that is currently being discussed on the said forum.
I tend to send emails only when I am trying to send something in, asking questions, or wanting assistance in which case I would be just as formal and literal as I would at anything else that I am posting in. I figure if I want something I should be as clear as crystal with what I am trying to say to obtain the information that I want to get from the people I am trying to talk or communicate online with. There are too many situations where I can’t answer someone’s question due to the post from that said person being very illiterate and filled with internet acronyms. In the end I just want to be as polite and understanding as possible.

Th-th-th-that's all folks..I don't think so.
The newspaper is one of the oldest forms of written communication in a society for a person to share their opinion or views, the oldest form being books which also sometimes contained political/editorial cartoons themselves. An editorial cartoon, also known as a political cartoon, is an illustration or comic strip containing a political or social message, which usually relates to current events or personalities. You can see editorial cartoons in the Sunday funnies section or the editorial page, like Doonesbury and Boondocks. As already mentioned these types of cartoons are trying to give off political message of some sort of what the artist/creator may be in favor or against a particular event dealing with normally the government at the time. Since the editorial and the Sunday funnies sections are commonly read by a lot of today’s society it is probably one the best ways to promote an opinion about some political event that may be going on or has passed.
Editorial cartoons are made specifically to entertain and amuse readers. Most of the time the editorial cartoons are set up in a way to make a situation look funny, even if the final message is in support of the political event. With giving the message a cartoon humorous look not only does it attract views of audience it also may help the attended audience to get a better grasp and understanding of the political situation that may be going on. The audience does not have to agree or disagree with artist’s opinion since the editorial cartoon’s purpose to begin with is just to make hidden truths and the opinion of artist known to society.
I don’t necessarily agree with Marlette’s fears of editorial cartoons being endangered. If anything is happening to editorial cartoons they are expanding and increasing in number due to technologies like the internet allowing people to express themselves as cartoonist in a broader, cheaper, and faster way. The internet itself just grants that many more options and freedoms for artist to publish their political cartoons. Of course the amount of freedoms and options for artist who create these cartoons varies from country to country, but even then I doubt that stops the artist from trying to get their opinions out there.

To be the better man, or in this case writer.
Finally a blog entry where I can let loose and just fritter away and talk a little about my improvements over this semester in terms of writing. In short I believe that I still have a long way to go as a focused writer, meaning a writer that is has to write something that he is being told to write and not what he wants to write. When I am being able to write about whatever I please is when I can really show my true skills and totally just let myself loose upon my reader audience.
I believe that the area which I have grown stronger in is being able to communicate my feelings stronger in my writing and be able to convince others to support my cause. The area which I believe I am weakest in is coming up with a strong thesis. I can’t seem to wrap my head around the area of solely focusing on one thesis through out an entire paper since I am so use to expressing many different opinions when I normally speak. I normally do not like to put people through ordeals or ask for help when I am working on a written piece of work, but I am beginning to learn to rely on others who have experience in the fields by having people peer edit my writing drafts and seeing what they think about it.
I have learned and gained experience in using MLA format correctly. The thing about MLA format is that it can vary depending on how the teacher prefers the format. One way you may cite a source or use a block quote may vary from one teacher to the next. I am lucky that most of my teachers haven’t asked for anything beyond MLA format, except the occasional odd ball of a teacher that may ask for APA format.
I will be meeting up with my teacher from this online course for the first time next week to see if I can get some help from her and work on improving my previous essay. I am praying that things will go well with the meeting and hopefully I will understand her method of writing so I can adapt to it myself.

GOOD LORDEH! HE HAS GOT A FOUL MOUTH! Blog/RJ WEEK 10 Writing Assignment #2
My views on taboo language can be summed up honestly as not giving a flying fig about it. You can see how American television still censors a lot more than most countries do in language and practically everything about media compared to other nations. You will most likely see a child cussing up a storm in another country than you would here due to the amount of censorship that goes into our media. However, you can see that American censorship is letting a lot more things fly in the language department as of late. An example of taboo language being unbleeped would be the words ass, asshole, shit, and even bitch.
Since I am an adult now I couldn’t really careless what people say in terms of language on television. I can understand the concerns of parents being worried about their children hearing this taboo language over time, but if you are a responsible parent you would be naturally making sure you avoid these said channels that would promote this language to begin with. I think it is a misconception that people blame the people who make shows that contain foul language when they can simply just ignore the show, block it, or just never even mention them. I don’t think that taboo language helps television characters sound like “real people”, but I do feel like it makes the characters look less mature in general or just unlikeable.
I figure it is okay to cuss every now and then, but if every word out of your mouth was “fuck” then I would have issues with you. Everyone should be able to watch what they want when they want it as long as it is legal. I find there is no issue with cussing/foul language at all. If you enjoy people cussing up a storm then I figure that is your own opinion and taste. Everyone enjoys different things and if we try to tell people what they can or cannot watch or say then we are no better than communist.

To censor or not to censor, I prefer not to censor however I am no parent.
All forms of media entertainment may it be movies, books, and or television shows have major influence on every culture, every race, and just plain out every human’s language that they use in every day conversation. Just like with the concept of watching to many violent shows and playing to many violent games making one violent the concept of enjoying mass media entertainment that uses prejudicial language can have increase negative effect on increasing use of prejudicial language in daily conversation.
The way mass media entertainment has increasing effect in the influence on the use of prejudicial language can be compared through the same method and effects that war propaganda had on people. Being shown only one type of media commercial, an example being listening to one type of music or reading one style of book over and over, is almost like brain washing. For children up to children, teenagers, and up to young adults this method of is very common since they are all still growing and absorbing new information everyday, so companies can take advantage of this and have their products have an influence in their life by being a part of their daily lives that they experience pretty frequently.
The fact that censorship on foul/mature language is being lowered every year on daily media, news, television shows, and even movies, is having an ever so increasing effect in the use of judicial language as well. There was a time where you couldn’t say bitch on television without getting the word bleeped out, but now you hear it everywhere from MTV to the morning news. I do like the fact that America’s censorship is becoming more open since most of the world their censorship is practically nil or non-existent, but you think we would be tightening our grip on censorship instead of loosening it to effect younger generations from using such prejudicial language, forming new prejudices, and being inspired to use these new found ideals in everyday life. This issue of watching, reading, or using any form of media entertainment is not the fault of the children but instead the parents' fault in the method they use to raise their children. In my opinion if the parents of the child gave a care into what mass media their children or teenagers currently use on a daily basis they would turn out to be fine, but the problem is that most parents really don’t care at all which gives free reign to mass media being able to bend the mind of children and young adults out there to fill their heads with what they want them to think.

Prompt 2 THIS WORLD IS MADE OF LOVE AND PEACE! (I can dream!)
I believe that both happiness and respect are very important things to have in life, but if I had to choose between the two I would choose happiness. A person can all the respect for himself/herself and all the respect they can get from everyone, but that doesn’t mean that all that respect will make them truly happy. If everyone is happy with themselves then there would be no reason fights to start over anything. Through happiness we can achieve true peace in the world, something like the ideal respect can never achieve.
I just see more benefits and more positive things coming from the idea of happiness than the idea of respect. Happiness is not only good for those around you but it is also good for yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually. Being happy and reflecting that happiness will do wonders for your health and you will also probably live longer as well. People tend to respect those who are happy as well and who treat them nicely. If everyone is happy then everyone is respectful of one another.
I believe that to be able to achieve true happiness in our nation we must allow those to be able to pursue their happiness. The one thing that I find most hypocritical about our great nation of America is that homosexuals can not marry in most of the nation, if not all of it already. One of the very ideals which were one of the foundations of our nation cannot be fully achieved due to this current big issue. Until this issue is resolved then we are not all truly equal as Americans I believe since not all of use can achieve our true happiness.

I choose....Writing Assignment #1..I suppose? Sure, why not.
Blog/RJ WEEK 7
I want to be honest and say that this week’s blog assignment is actually kind of difficult for me to respond to. I can’t choose the number 5 assignment simply because I already wrote on it on a previous blog entry. I also honestly don’t really think much about gender when talking to someone since I treat everyone I talk too normally equally. Finally I don’t find number 2 essay all that easy for the fact that I haven’t had someone really make a difference or change in my life just through a conversation. I suppose I will go with writing assignment number one in the end.
I am really having a tough time with this essay over the fact that I don’t like to judge everyone or one sex in a general category when there are plenty of people of the mentioned sex that I have yet to have experience in talking with yet. With verbal conversation I personally find that when talking to other males that the conversations tend to be a lot slower but more thought out and thorough. When I talk to women it tends to be more like a game of tag or hide-go-seek with each of us trying to figure out which button to push to start or find something we have in common. One could say that all that I just mentioned could fall under the tone, volume, and pitch of the voices that are in the conversation that include mine.
For nonverbal communication I tend to see that guys do think a lot more often before they speak and women tend to have a more laid back nature when starting a conversation. I would like to mention the volume of the voices in conversations with males and females, but I don’t feel like I have right too since I tend to get loud when I get excited about something and I don’t normally notice this unless someone brings it up. I can say though that on situations that revolve around dates I tend to be the one that is nervous and unsure what to exactly say while my female partner tends to be all relax and enjoying herself. In short most the time if I am not interested in the girl(s) that I am having conversation with I treat them as if they were any other person. I don’t normally differentiate between sexes unless I have some interest in with the other party in the conversation, so in short I am pretty sure both sexes speak the same language in both verbal and nonverbal communication.

Who am I? Well I am me of course! At least that is what I think! Blog Response Week 6
Blog Response 6
Prompt/Essay 5
Since I am not looking at a mirror constantly I am not totally sure what all my nonverbal cues are that I project to others. I do know that I tend to make myself smaller or tighten myself up if I am annoyed and want to be left alone. When I am pretty much in a “whatever” kind of mood I tend to just have my body spread out all lazily about. When I am in an upbeat kind of mood my body is a bit bouncy and a little bit all over the place.
In general the vibe I think I give off the most is one that just says, “I am Mr. Nice guy.” It seems I just ooze the whole dude who is extremely friendly and what not. People tend to just talk to me about whatever. I do enjoy the this vibe though since most of the time I can get people feeling relaxed to point where I can get them talking about private matters that they normally don’t or wouldn’t chat about with others or in public in general. If people see me walking around campus I am normally just listening to music or just walking on a stroll to get around and see what other people are doing and perhaps find someone interesting in the process.
I know I make weird funny faces when I am concentrating or getting into something very interesting. Normally I probably either have a dopey grin when I am in a good mood or just laid back and other than that probably just plain old whatever floats your boat kind of look on my face. To be honest I am going off what I think and what I have been told by others when I am ask them these weird kinds of questions. Sometimes I wish we humans came with built in mirrors.
I tend to dress up in a way that would make people look at me, like wearing a unique, funny, cool, or original looking shirt. I tend to put funny or cool looking buttons on my hats, bags, and the like. I like to have key chains on me and I tend my hair done in a certain way, not so much now since I am pretty much just letting it grow out and shaggy.
I like to think I have a good mental attitude. I tend to not judge what people look like, what they like to do, or how they think. In general I like to think in a positive and be upbeat about things. I like to look for the good in things rather than the bad. In general I am trying to push my comfort zone and by doing so I have obtained new contacts and was able to do things that I would normally do.
Of course this is what I think of myself and there are two categories that describe what people truly are, those being who you think you and then secondly what others think you are. I can only judge myself so much before it starts looking weird. I do love to hear what others think about me though.

Insert Witty Title here about globalization of English!
The impact of globalization of English as a language has been only recently picking up as a major topic nowadays. If you really want to get out in the world and become a big hit, if English is not your first language, you need to learn English. Globalization on English as a language has now become such a big thing that a person in today’s world would find it pretty hard to get anyone on a global/national scale if they do not know English already. I myself find the fact that America does not have English as its official language while English is one of the fastest growing languages in the world, thanks to globalization, rather odd yet interesting. If the language continues to grow and evolve one would think that this will have an effect on the nation that uses the language the most. One can say that not knowing at least some bit of English is almost as bad as not being able to read or write.
In the world one can find at least some for of English in every form of mass media entertainment, regardless of what language it was original published in. You can find English phrases in foreign songs, books, movies, and even video games today. The point as even come to pass where foreign directors are now using English as the main language for the movies they film, while they just use subtitles for whatever language is official for them. It boggles the mind but there is just almost no way today can a film or song get a way with not using at least one or two English words.
Globalization has now made the English language the language to know for global/national trade. To make it out there in the business world you only really need to know the basic understand of the English language. You will most likely find that most people in the stock market do know at least some bit of English. There is probably no possible way that children will not be able to learn at least some form of English in their early years due to mass forms of entertainment which is now heavily influenced by the American culture and the English culture.
Thanks to globalization English has evolved to the point where it has become the language of gathering and spreading information via internet. The evolution of the English language has become the number one language for most if not all internet acronyms which as even spread to most if not all forms of massively multiplayer online games, games that are only with hug masses of players from all over the world playing together. A person can probably speak in various English acronyms and even have a small conversation with a person that knows little to no English now and be able to carry on a little conversation.
It is only a matter of time till English will globalize to the point where English will be a language that every educated person would have knowledge of and can use it. They are already teaching the English language as a required subject in most countries. I myself would not be able to honestly say if complete globalization of English will be something good or bad.

My mark, my signature, something that defines me.... I honestly don't know.. (Blog/RJ Week4)
All writers have a style, a catchphrase, or a mark of some kind to differentiate from each other. I have always wondered what kind of signature I would use to define me as a writer. Since I have never written anything seriously for fun I would not know honestly what I would use to set me apart from all the other writers out there. I figure though that if I were to be a writer, editor, or reviewer critic of some kind that my words that I would use as my own signature would be something along the lines that made me look like I was a writer that tries to find the meaning behind my own words from multiple perspective, or in other words a writer with a broad spectrum.
I do believe that it takes time and experience to find something that represents you as an author/writer. The words that define the writer may come to him or her fast or at a steady pace over time. I don’t believe that a writer’s mark/signature comes to him or her right after completing their first work in general. Besides having prior experience I believe to find one’s own definition of self they must first know what they are viewed by other people and how they view themselves. I honestly have yet to figure or decide out who I really am.
I mentioned prior that I would probably use words that probably mention how understanding I was for outside perspective and how I have a broad spectrum/taste. I would probably use a phrase from one of William Shakespeare’s works since almost everyone knows him and at least like one if not more of his past works. There is one phrase from Hamlet that Shakespeare wrote that I fallen completely in love with which is, “There is nothing good either good or bad but thinking makes it so”, since it pretty much describes how neutral and understanding I think I am. I feel that a lot of writers today don’t really like writing to please every one, they either write for themselves or for one type of general audience. I am more of a person who listens to each party’s opinion and then insert my own which would be a compromise for all the parties included.
To emphasize my own phrase borrowed from Shakespeare I would perhaps lead into it by giving a personal opinion of what I am writing about from both positive and negative views. By listing various ideals and topics from multiple view points that appeals to all if not most kinds of audiences then there would be an easy entry way for me to leave my mark on at end. I would want to try to end all my writings in a way that there would be no chance for criticism to be dished out. This goal of appeasing everyone may be hard thing to do but if I take my time I believe I could reach a settlement that is appealing to any sides of an argument.
I am not a writer but I am a thinker and I realize that even in real life there is a style with the way I suggest my thoughts to others. I want to keep working on improving myself as a person, by doing this I think it would help me to become a better writer and find my own words eventually that would allow me to express my true self to my readers. I will be able to show everyone that my opinion is one that would be accept by most if not everyone, even if I can’t get everyone then I would be pleased even with a small number of those who can agree with me on my view points.

Ain't I A Woman? Well....I am not but you are! Blog homework 3 (Note this is prompt essay 1 on page 555)
I, Ryan Finch, have yet to seen any woman of my day stand up to men of such great power in my country, let alone a Negro. If I were a woman I do not think I would have the courage to face and go head to head with these men of power. This lady Sojourner Truth has such charisma it is no surprise that she has got to where she is today. She has such power and influence in her voice which only continued to increase as the speech went on. This woman’s words have the ring of truth to the point where it embarrassed the men she pointed out during the speech. It boggles the mind how one of such poor background is able to rise to point of such high respect amongst her peers of not just a woman but as a speaker and a fighter for freedom and equality.
Lady Sojourner Truth not only supported her own individual sex as a woman but supported her own race with cold reality of how she was treated in public by men. It is simply outstanding that she was able to win over the audience with just cold hard facts on her own experience of not just being a woman but a Negro woman. One must realize that not only has she suffered through being a woman, a sex which is considered weak opposed to us men in our time, but as once a slave, a female slave who has had to go through the pain of watching her family, her children, be sold off one by one to other slave owners.
The audience was simply in pure awe by this woman’s boldness, courage, and risk this woman took to preach her own thoughts and beliefs to those in power. I have never seen so much and so many different expressions on people’s faces while listening to a speech. People were moved and some women were even crying out in the audience. I almost couldn’t hold myself back from yelling out my own praise to this fine spiritual woman.
Lady Sojourner Truth is not just fighting for her own people but for her entire sex as well. One would understand if she only focused on helping her own people, but she does more than just that. Sojourner Truth fights for our country to improve it both mentally and spiritually. I was enlightened, put in awe, and spiritually moved by this woman’s speech. As a man who has seen many speeches this one has got to be one of the finer one’s which was brought up in such a short amount of time. One must hope that this woman continues her on her quest for freedom and equality as a race and gender. I say to you Lady Sojourner Truth that not only are you a woman but a true American in the finest truest definition of the word.

Prompt 1: If you were illiterate.... My life would suck big monkey.
I can honestly say that I can not even begin to fathom the living hell it would be if I was illiterate let alone being an illiterate young parent. I would be extremely embarrassed and probably ashamed of myself if I couldn’t even read a picture book. I couldn’t be able to live with myself knowing that I wouldn’t be able to know what is really going on with the world. With the country’s economy in a depression it is not a time in the world where ignorance is bliss. If you want to survive safely in this country you need to know what is going on, and not being able to know what is going on would only throw your life into chaos. Forget trying to get a decent job with being illiterate. The best I job situation I imagine that I could get, if I am extremely lucky, would be maybe at a fast food restaurant or working landscape. I think even for the most physical of labor you are going to need to have at least some comprehension to do some of the basics.
If I were to be illiterate then I wouldn’t even be able to do half the stuff that I am into. Acting and theater would be totally shot for the simple fact that I wouldn’t be able to read or memorize my script. I wouldn’t be able to read my manga or comics since that is just reading with very illustrated pictures. Traveling would be terrible since I wouldn’t be able to read the signs for directions. My whole life just would be shot to hell and back with me not being able to read or write.
I don’t know how I would be able to keep being illiterate a secret as a parent, even if for a long length of time. I would imagine at this point in time in the world, with technology the way it is, that it would be extremely hard to not being revealed as illiterate. How would I be able to explain myself to my kid? The only possible way I can imagine keeping the fact of being illiterate a secret is if I had a very close friend who knew about it and just kept me informed about everything going on, either that or watching the news every other day. My family would probably know full well if I could read or write since of their background of all being successful in school and life, mother as a P.H.D. and my father is well place social worker boss who sometimes works for the government. My life would just be a living hell.
Something to say about next week.
While I am making/preparing my assigned post for my internet class this week I just wanted to mention that I will also starting next week post about various shows, books, movies, and whatever I am currently into at the moment. Who knows I may be a useful pool of information to get you into something cool that you might like.

Thinking Critical, Critical Thinking reaching capacity over 100%!!! OVERHEATING!
First off I like to say greetings and salutations to all those that read this blog, even though I am not expecting many to read it. My first blog entry I like to take the time and explain to you all what critical thinking means to me. In general I define critical thinking as actually taking and dividing a problem or situation apart to figure out the finer details to come up with a more thoughtful solution.
Now when I am reading my way of thinking critically is changed slightly depending on the situation, those situations being if I am being forced to read for an assignment or if I am reading for my own leisure. When I am assigned reading I normally ask the questions that are asked of me over and over again in my head while reading the assigned chapter or book. When I am reading on my own leisure I tend to question or think about what is going on in the story after I read the entire chapter or book, in other words I don’t question anything until I am done reading for the moment.
I suppose you can say that I don’t apply the way I think critically when I am assigned reading to events that happen in my life. I normally end up thinking critically in the way that I do when I am reading things on my own leisure, listen first and then ask questions later. I figure it is best to have the whole situation explained in all of its entirety rather than having to interrupt the explanation only to make a fool of one’s self with a question that would have been answered later all because you didn’t let the explanation finish.
I can honestly say that I don’t really care for politics unless I am involved or my rights are involved in which case I would just look for and listen to all the possible situations before I would come up with a solution that may benefit me in the process. I understand the whole, “your vote matters”, but, when you are in a situation where you have people who have lived several times over your own lifespan making the final decision you tend to look towards the people who have this much more experience to make the big choice. I understand that not everyone who has the power or has been voted in always makes the right choice but, then again they wouldn’t be where they are if the majority of the people didn’t support and agree with their choices or opinions.
When looking at looking at media as in entertainment I tend to dive deeply into discussions of things that I like so, I imagine that I would apply the way I think critically when I read for fun to the forms of media that I enjoy. I would think of media like a commentary, the work has been done and now you are just criticizing, complementing, and or just making fun of yourself on the faults that occurred during the entire process.
My academic work I would treat the same as my professional endeavors since they both share some of the same effects on the other, meaning if I do crummy in one it will probably have me being crummy in the other as well. If I don’t do well academically how would I expect to do any better in my professional endeavors? I suppose the effects of how one does academically compared to how well they are doing in their professional endeavors varies depending on what they are aiming for in final outcome in their life. In the long run I would treat my academic and professional endeavors as an assignment that I must pass so, I would be constantly asking myself questions on every turn I make.
I would hope that this Online English Course that I am currently taking would help me improve upon my analysis skills. I imagine that the course would help me become more aware and awake for the simple fact that it would help me to improve upon my responses for my opinions and arguments that I may have in the future. I don’t imagine that this class would really affect how I would view the world as a whole since this is an English class not philosophy or sociology course. I would think that the class would help me express my opinions and arguments in a more sensible correct way in the end.
